Position Overview The Operation Services Specialist ensures all provided IT services are robust, controlled and delivered effectively and efficiently. This includes monitoring services, preventing and resolving service failures, fixing problems as well as carrying out operational tasks. The Operation Services Specialist will manage degradations or disruption of services identified and reported by service consumers or by the analysis and reactions to events on the respective service components in order to quickly re-establish the service to the full extent. The Operations Services Specialist works through service-related requests in accordance with existing service catalogue components. They will manage access requests to enable, revoke or modify privileges based on proper policy standards or direction from CISO. They will provide governance of the services, based on calculated service and capacity availability metrics, to ensure availability is not jeopardised by insufficient capacities as a result of consumption trends, upcoming campaigns or peak consumptions. Management of support activities for service operations, such as troubleshooting and solving incidents and problems / service delivery Take overall responsibility for the resolution of incidents and problems within the team & oversee the resolution of complex incidents Ensure analysts are using the correct troubleshooting methods and processes Assistance in managing relationships with involved business partners Manage escalations by collaborating with Client Service Manager, other service operations specialists and relevant TDI functions to properly and quickly resolve escalated issues Overview of areas that need monitoring, reporting and improvement Identifying the required metrics and ensuring that they are addressed, monitored and improved where necessary Qualifications Completed bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience Working knowledge of standard tools (Service-Now, Confluence, JIRA) Experience with multiple technology stacks (IBM mainframe, DB2/Oracle database, Cloud based platforms, JAVA etc) Experience of working in an international team in multiple locations ITIL foundation mandatory (expert desirable) GCP certification desirable German and English language skills mandatory What we will offer you (optional) As the benefits may vary marginally from location to location, it is advisable to use the link to our career page: Posting time: 30.03.2026, until further notice In case of any recruitment related questions, please get in touch with Lisa Wallesch.
