Position Overview:

As the Operations Supervisor, you will take a hands-on approach to leadership, working closely with your team on the station floor to drive performance, safety, and efficiency. You’ll lead from the front—supporting daily operations, jumping in where needed, and setting the standard for teamwork and accountability.

You will utilise your operational expertise and data-driven mindset to improve station performance, while also contributing directly to day-to-day activities such as unloading trucks and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised station floor.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as you build relationships with your team, Delivery Partners, and the Station Manager. You will support the Station Manager in achieving operational and financial objectives, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Additionally, you will provide leadership, coaching, and training to the Station team, ensuring capability uplift and consistent performance. You will oversee Dragonfly’s parcel lifecycle, including returns, driver bookings, and route optimisation, while upholding safety, quality, and Dragonfly’s core values.

We are open to candidates from a variety of leadership backgrounds across different industries who are looking to make a change. Attitude, energy, and a willingness to be hands-on are key to success in this role.

Schedule: 5:00 pm – 3:00 am, Wednesday - Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Station Manager and Senior Operations Supervisors to continuously improve processes and ensure the station operates at peak performance.

Take a hands-on role in daily operations, including unloading trucks, supporting floor activities, and maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the station floor.

Oversee all operational activities related to parcel returns, driver booking, and route optimisation, ensuring processes are streamlined for maximum efficiency.

Prepare and analyse performance reports related to KPIs and forecasts, adjusting operations as necessary to meet objectives.

Liaise closely with Delivery Partners to ensure appropriate driver bookings to ensure route coverage and meet service level agreements for our customers.

Uphold and promote a safe and secure environment for all employees and Delivery Partners, ensuring safety protocols are followed rigorously.

Collaborate with Supervisors and Operations Support to oversee the delivery process and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.

Maintain accurate and thorough logbooks and reports to track daily activities and performance.

Lead by example and from the front - coaching, supporting, and working alongside your team to drive performance and engagement.

Ensure a professional, customer-focused environment is always maintained.

Continuously uphold and promote Dragonfly Shipping’s core values of innovation, customer focus, teamwork, and diligence.

Key Requirements:

1+ years of experience in a leadership position, ideally within a fast-paced or operational environment.

Previous experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or similar industries is preferred but not essential.

A hands-on leadership style, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and support frontline operations.

Strong team focus, with the ability to lead from the front and build a positive, high-performing culture.

Customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering positive outcomes.

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
