About The Role
ARC are seeking a motivated individual to join our Glendenning branch as an Operator where you will be using manual machines to shape & cut reinforcing bar.
As a Machine Operator, you will have the opportunity to join a small, high performing team to achieve KPIs and drive a safety-first culture while gaining experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication and distribution.
Your key duties will include:
Operating bending and cutting machinery for bar, steel, and mesh products
Overhead crane operation to load & unload trucks
Forklift Operation
Championing safety procedures to the highest standard
Involvement in process improvement initiatives
To be successful in this role you will value collaborative working environments, promote a safety-first culture, and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that will require attention to detail and time management skills.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
A safety-focused mindset
A continuous learning and can-do attitude
Forklift License
A background in steel, manufacturing, and construction industries are ideal
An enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable approach to your work
