Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Tow Motor Operator at our Woodbridge manufacturing plant. This position opening is for the night shift which runs from midnight until 8:30 am, Sunday-Thursday.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Tow Motor Operator, the primary job function is to perform material handling duties with a forklift, and general labor duties to ensure a continuous production flow within the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely operate a clamp/fork truck
Material handling of foam blocks from plant areas to department lines
Operate baler and bale trim
Ensure quality control specifications are met
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
Other duties as requested by management
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to drive a forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license
No experience necessary however, some would be an asset
Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements
Able to lift between 20 – 40 lbs. comfortably
General understanding of PPE and use
Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks
Communicates effectively with employee inquiries or comments
Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset
Ability to work under minimal to no supervision
