Job Description
Location: Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada (Hybrid)
Compensation: $150,000 CAD + 1.5% Equity
The Mission: Scale the operational engine of Canada’s next great nostalgia brand.
The Role
You are the operational engine of Goodie Hoops. When a customer taps "Order Now," the baton passes to you. Your job is to ensure our entire supply chain, fulfillment process, e-commerce platform, and wholesale logistics run like clockwork. You will orchestrate the physical reality of our digital promises, moving us from founder-led fulfillment to an industrial-scale powerhouse.
Key Responsibilities
DTC Fulfillment & Logistics: Own the end-to-end customer journey from click to doorstep. You are responsible for maintaining a <24-hour fulfillment turnaround and managing the transition to a high-performance 3PL partner.
Wholesale Operations: Manage B2B logistics and DSD (Direct Store Delivery) routing while protecting our 78–82% wholesale margins.
Inventory & Systems: Maintain 99.9% inventory accuracy across eCommerce and physical warehouses. You will own the backend, ensuring seamless integration with our supply chain.
Unit Economics: Obsess over the "Cost-per-Ring." You will negotiate vendor contracts for packaging, ingredients, and shipping to optimize our unit economics without compromising our recipe standards.
Customer Experience: Oversee the support desk with a hard target of <12-hour resolution times. You turn friction into loyalty.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure 100% adherence to CFIA standards, allergen labeling, and batch-consistency protocols.
Who You Are
A Systems Architect: You don't just follow processes; you build them. You hate waste and love automation.
A Logistics Veteran: You’ve scaled a physical product brand before. You know how to talk to co-packers, 3PLs, and freight brokers.
Data-Driven: You speak in margins, grams, and milliseconds. You understand that operations is a game of inches.
Resilient: You are calm in the "messy middle" of a high-growth startup. When a batch is delayed or a shipment goes missing, you find the solution before the founders even know there’s a problem.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 7–10 years of progressive operational leadership within the CPG or Food & Beverage industry. You must have a proven track record of scaling a physical product brand through rapid growth phases.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is strongly preferred, particularly with a focus on operations or finance.
Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with modern eCommerce ecosystems and modern ERP implementations. You should be comfortable building and maintaining complex unit-economic models and inventory forecasting tools.
Regulatory Expertise: Deep, working knowledge of CFIA standards, HACCP protocols, and Canadian food labeling regulations. You will be the final gate for compliance.
Logistics Network: Extensive experience managing 3PL relationships and designing DSD networks. You know how to negotiate freight rates and warehouse SLAs that actually stick.
Core Competencies
Analytical Rigor: You don't guess; you query. You are comfortable working alongside our AI-powered data stack to pull insights that drive margin improvements.
Vendor Negotiation: You have a "velvet-gloved" approach to negotiation—securing the best possible terms for Goodie Hoops while maintaining the long-term health of our supplier partnerships.
Strategic Prioritization: You can distinguish between a "fire" and a "flicker." You use frameworks like RICE or MoSCoW to ensure the team is always working on the highest-leverage operational tasks.
Why Goodie Hoops?
We are reimagining a Canadian classic. We have the ROAS, we have the recipe, and we have the demand. We need you to build the machine that delivers it.
About Goodie Hoops
We aren't just selling snacks; we're reviving a piece of Canadian history. Goodie Hoops is the resurrection of the legendary "Dad's Goodie Rings"—the chewy, peanut butter, oat, and coconut rings dipped in chocolate that disappeared from shelves years ago. We are a data-first organization, operating from an AI-powered command center that treats supply chain and marketing as a single, unified engine. We don't guess; we execute on precision.
The Roadmap
Phase 1 (May/June 2026): Wave-1 DTC launch. Focus on BC fulfillment and perfecting the unboxing experience.
Phase 2 (Q4 2026): Regional wholesale expansion. Transitioning to a 3PL and establishing DSD routes across Western Canada.
Phase 3 (2027+): National retail dominance. Scaling to 82% margins and multi-channel fulfillment.
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kelowna, BC V1Y 9S4
