Qualification: Optometry technician
Experience: 0-1 years exp
Skills:
Team Player, Knowledge of Safety Measures, Ability to Analyze, Quick in decision making, Communication Skills, Coordination with other departments and Sound knowledge of various laboratory techniques
Job Responsibility
Patient Preparation & Preliminary Testing:Gathering patient medical history, explaining exam procedures, and conducting basic vision tests like visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception.
Assisting with Examinations:Preparing equipment, administering eye drops, and assisting with diagnostic tests like tonometry and visual field testing.
Patient Education:Educating patients on proper contact lens and eyewear care, post-examination care, and vision health.
Administrative Tasks:Managing appointment scheduling, patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Maintaining the Clinical Environment:Keeping examination rooms clean and organized, maintaining equipment, and managing inventory.
Minor Repairs:Assisting with minor repairs on eyeglasses and eyewear.
Collaboration:Working with the optometry team to improve patient flow and service delivery.
Any other work assigned from time to time by the Management and HOD.
