Job Description
An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience to work in a dynamic surgical unit. This contract position offers the chance to contribute to a team focused on delivering high-quality patient care within a well-equipped OR environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as an OR circulator, supporting surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic cases.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, including surgical techs and nursing staff, to facilitate safe and efficient procedures.
• Utilize basic OR equipment such as cautery devices, video monitors, arthroscopy tools, and positioning equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Participate in rotating call schedules, including at least one night per week and one weekend every five weeks.
Qualifications:
• Current RN licensure with proven Operating Room experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties is preferred.
• Demonstrated flexibility and a compassionate, willing attitude toward patient care.
• Ability to fulfill call rotation requirements as specified.
Schedule:
• Rotation includes one night per week and one weekend per five-week schedule.
