Position Description
Emtec seeks a Senior Oracle Apps & Database Administrator who is proficient in installs, upgrades, configurations and administration of Oracle E-Business suite 12.2 across various operating systems. He/She will be responsible for interacting with clients, collaborate with subject matter experts and cross functional groups.
Responsibilities include
• Hands on managing services in Oracle Apps R12.2 and Oracle Database 1+c in a multi client environment.
• Strong understanding of E-Business suite 12.2 architectures.
• ******** knowledge of best practices being used in both Apps and Database areas.
• Good understanding of 1+c CDB/PDB concepts especially in the 12.2 setting.
• Must have experience upgrading E-business suite to the latest versions.
• Must have experience upgrading database from 11g/12c to 1+c.
• Experience in sizing and capacity planning.
• Cloning of Oracle Applications using Rapid clone with various node configurations.
• Experience in configuring end to end SSL/TLS in EBS 12.2
• Should have experience in monitoring and troubleshooting of Apache, Forms, Concurrent manager, and database related issues
• Experience in patching of Oracle Applications using adop and adpatch utility
• Backup and restore using RMAN. Thorough understanding of various crash recovery scenarios.
• Managing Oracle Applications using AD Utilities like adadmin, autoconfig, adrelink, adpatch, adident, and managing passwords using fndcpass
• Should be proficient in database patching using opatch utility
• Should have thorough understanding of shared appl_top, shared application tier file systems like nfs
• Should be able to handle sysadmin activities such as User Administrator, Responsibilities, Request groups, Register Forms, Printer setup, Register custom applications etc.
• Hands on Experience in DR setup with or without Oracle Data guard.
• Hands on experience with performance tuning in an E-Business environment.
• Must take proactive approach in mentoring junior DBA's and improve team work.
• Must be able to work independently and take ownership of issues.
• Excellent documentation skills, proving the ability to allow others to follow documentation
• Experience in OEM13c.
• Experience in installing databases on Windows platform is a plus
• Experience in installing/maintaining databases on multimode RAC architecture is a plus
• Experience with Oracle Utilities applications (WAM, MWM., CCB) is a plus.
Must Have Skills:
• 10-12 years of hands on experience in Oracle Apps and Database Administration
• Must have a minimum 8 years hands on experience maintaining Production environments.
• UNIX/LINUX expertise required.
• OCI IaaS/DBaaS/PaaS certification required
• Must work in multi shift system.
• Effective communication skills

• SOA, OBIEE, SSO/OID, GoldenGate, RAC
• Linux scripting
