A day in the life of an Infoscion - • As part of the Infosys delivery team, your primary role would be to ensure effective Design, Development, Validation and Support activities, to assure that our clients are satisfied with the high levels of service in the technology domain. • You will gather the requirements and specifications to understand the client requirements in a detailed manner and translate the same into system requirements. • You will play a key role in the overall estimation of work requirements to provide the right information on project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers. • You would be a key contributor to building efficient programs/ systems and if you think you fit right in to help our clients navigate their next in their digital transformation journey, this is the place for you! Responsibilities • Install and Upgrade Oracle database, Oracle Grid software and also apply patches as required. • Perform regular health check of all production databases at Cluster level, instance level, ASM level and take appropriate action in case of any threshold value is reached. • Monitor and tune the performance of Oracle database ongoing basis • User management, create user, privileges and roles as required • Create and implement the backup policy as per client’s requirement • Perform housekeeping activities such as purging of trace files, log files and dump files • Adept at taking backups and restoring the same as and when required using RMAN • Need to configure data guard and troubleshoot standby sync issues/log sequence gap issues
• Should be ready to work in 24x7 production support model and in shifts on rotational basis • Proactively monitor the production systems for any performance issues • Define and implement user security policy as per requirement and enable audit as required • Assist developers in performance tuning and troubleshooting of issues wherever required • To create, drop and monitor ASM disks, disk groups as a part of support activities • Should have worked on Oracle security features like TDE, Oracle Database vault and auditing • Should have good hands-on experience on Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation • Should have participated in mock DR drills • Should have good communication skills for coordinating with other teams and Client
