TCS Opportunity for ORACLE DBA Required Technical Skill Set - Oracle Database Administration. - Building cloud model servers end to end a plus. - On-premises to Cloud DB migrations. - Automation of regular tasks using PowerShell. - Performance Tuning & Capacity Monitoring Experience Range - 5 to 15 years Desired Competencies · Azure or AWS Certifications is a Plus. · Experience building and utilizing various High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle Databases. · Experience with multiple database platforms a plus. · Experience in handling Oracle 12c, 1+c Databases, upgrades of Oracle Databases 1+c platforms. · The applicant will need to have a deep understanding of integrated security and be able to participate in troubleshooting activities. · The ability to discuss database related topics with both technical & business audiences. · Troubleshoot, investigate, offer, and execute resolution to database issues. · Monitor and report on database storage utilization. · Experience with data warehousing, data access accountability. · Writing T-SQL · Monitor, tune and manage scheduled tasks, backup jobs, recover processes, alerts, and database storage needs in line with firm change control procedures. · Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshoot, and correct problems at the database and application performance level. · Work well in a team environment within the database administration team as well as with other Technical Service Group teams and other departments within the Wolters Kluwer. · Provide regular reports on performance and stability of database environment, identifying coming needs proactively to ensure continued reliable service. · Work with other teams and departments architecting database backend to support new solutions as required for project and operational tasks. · Document, develop, test, and implement updates to database systems. · Enjoy constantly learning new technologies and contributing to the knowledge of others. · Work outside of regular business hours as required for project or operational work. · Experienced Database professional with over 10-12 years of experience in Database Administration, System Analysis, design, support of database systems. · Ability to manage high availability solutions. · Experienced in building cloud servers and configuring health check monitoring using PowerShell integration using cloud schedulers through portals. · Automation using PowerShell scripts. · Extensive experience with all aspects of setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimization, capacity management, monitoring, load testing, and security, including, encryption, and HADR options, such as Always On availability groups, mirroring, log shipping, VM replication, as well as robust backup and restore plans using SQL Server native tools and other third-party solutions. · Experienced in Upgrade/Migration of database platforms of On-Prem to cloud solutions. · Self-motivated, with the proven ability to work independently. · Take ownership of and proactively seek to improve on existing systems. · Develop automation for both repetitive or unique and complex tasks to reduce overhead and increase reliability. · Have developed several systems to monitor capacity, audit security, capture events to a database, etc., using a variety of database tools. · Experience in Installation, configuration and upgrades of Servers. · Monitor, optimize and report on system performance. · Experience with Failover clustering and SAN replication. · Experience with Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services a plus. · Experience developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans. · Experience with code migration of all objects following established change control procedures.
