Job Description
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and work experience. Must have strong Oracle Database administration support skills in UNIX (AIX), Linux (Red Hat) and Windows, strong communication, and documentation skills. Be able to implement and support Oracle/SQL Server Database technology. On-Call and weekend support expected.
Qualifications / Responsibilities
• Maintain and administer Oracle Database on AIX / RHEL / Windows platform
• Installing, upgrade and maintaining of Oracle Database in a development, test, stage and production environments.
• Monitoring and maintaining customer productions databases and perform regular administrative maintenance tasks on it.
• Incident Management, troubleshooting and resolving customer requests and problems.
• Database Backup & Recovery using RMAN and logical backup (export).
• Review and maintain database scripts.
• Tuning Production databases for better performance.
• Keep database versions up to requirements and to correct any known security vulnerabilities
• Contribute to developing an effective culture at Experts, upholding company values and staff morale
• Perform break/fix activities following incident management process.
• Maintain, Install, Upgrade Oracle Database throughout the lifecycle of the product
• Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger operational team
• Strong diplomacy, assertiveness, influencing skills with commitment and ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment
• Good interpersonal, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Must be willing to work off hours, weekends, and on-call support
• Qualified applicants have a Bachelor degree in a relevant field (Engineering or computer science) and 2-3 years work experience in implementing Oracle
• Oracle Certifications nice to have
