Responsibilities
Oracle Database administrator responsible for providing high quality support and management of database systems for corporate banking and ensure systems compliance to various regulatory requirement.
Knowledge:
• ******** Knowledge of the Oracle RDBMS and database administration best practices.
• Expert knowledge in database performance tuning, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Real Application Cluster.
• Database setup and configuration performed are following the Database Security Model.
• Perform Risk & impact assessment for new change activities introduced into the production environment.
• Perform database patching and Upgrades.
• Depth Knowledge and experience of Oracle Data Guard replication and physical standby for Disaster recovery.
• Resolve complex problems/projects through analysis, technical experience, and precedents; provide analysis for more complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Demonstrate superior collaboration skills in closely working with development, testing and implementation teams to roll out important regulatory and business improvement programs.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Experience in small to large scale system projects including full development life cycle and structured trouble shooting and analysis skills.
• Experiences to address database alerts/issues capacity constraints and performance related items.
• Fully analyze performance issues in most critical and performance sensitive Oracle databases.
• Identify tuning opportunities; implement improvements and advice developers on SQL tuning options.
• Scripting capabilities in UNIX shell/Ansible/Python and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Automation of database deployments.
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Interact with fellow DBAs to disseminate process and configuration improvements.
• Manage and guide the 24/7 production support team for the databases availability.
Qualifications:
• 6+ years Hands on experiences on Linux with Oracle installation upgrade and patching including Oracle Real Application Clusters and Data guard.
• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting: Oracle Golden Gate.
• Experience in advanced Oracle SQL tuning.
• Experience in automation using Ansible/Python scripting.
• Experience in PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Shareplex replication is an added advantage.
• Experience in MongoDB/Kinetica/Redis/Gemfire/Neo4J will be an added advantage.
• Product Professional certification is a significant advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective analytic/diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
