Job Location - Gurgaon Work Days - 6 days week Job Objective - To administer multiple Oracle (MUST) , Sqlserver databases spread across locations in a distributed environment Job Responsibility - 1.Support and Training • Providing User support (24x7) HRS – On call • Problem escalation to corporate team and third parties as appropriate. • Identifying and resolving database related issues. • Conducting period health checks on DBs • Formulating new requirements after taking inputs from implementation and support teams • Generating adhoc reports • Providing Data setup support for QA and Dev environment • Master Data maintenance • Monitoring and administering Report Queues • Monitoring and administering Golden gate replication routines • Troubleshoot DB issues • Identify bottlenecks and try resolving them 2.Coordination with Vendor • Coordinating with vendor about any new patches with respect to DB as well as applications, new requirement and bugs within specified timeline. 3.Knowledge Transfer • Providing technical training to the peers and subordinates within IT department 4.Release Deployment • Testing the product patches released by Vendor and track the issues till closure • Supporting the User Acceptance Testing for new features/functionalities added in HIS and related systems • Go-live support post deployment of new features 5.Following Departmental Processes • Maintaining the tracker of issues reported on day to day • Maintaining approval records • Any other duties given by the reporting manager Additional Requirements: • Willingness to travel across Medanta group of hospitals on short term or long term basis • Healthcare (provider space) knowledge is desirable Key Skills • Understanding on Oracle database architecture along with cloning, patching and upgrade • Expertise in installation/troubleshooting/monitoring of Oracle Golden Gate - 11g bidirectional replication • Experience with production critical/multi-terabyte Oracle Databases - 11g/10g administration, monitoring, proactive health check of the database • Knowledge in database backup/recovery including Hot Backup, Cold Backup and RMAN [Duplicate Database: Active/Backup] • Experience in SQL query tuning and database performance analysis. • Administration of oracle partitioned tables and their maintenance • Administration of Oracle Application Server / Oracle Forms & Reports Server - 10g/11g along with Oracle WebLogic Server 11g will be additional advantage • Expertise in Disaster recovery strategies for production/non production databases. [Active/Passive Dataguard] • Experienced in packages and tools like SQLPlus, PL/SQL, Oracle RMAN, OEM, OUI, DBCA, NETCA etc. • Proficiency in Security administration like auditing, creating users, roles, profiles, assigning object level and column level grants, controlling users access to system resources etc. • Basic UNIX shell commands and scripting [ssh, vi, grep, sed, awk etc.] • Time management, organizing, analytical/problem solving skills Desirable Skills • Understanding on Sql server database architecture along with administration, patching and upgrade
