Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining Oracle databases, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. This role requires mandatory certification in Oracle to ensure the highest level of expertise and proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software and related products.
• Manage and maintain all aspects of Oracle databases including backups, recovery, performance tuning, and security.
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).

Performance Tuning and Optimization:
• Monitor database performance and perform necessary tuning.
• Analyze database performance metrics and troubleshoot any issues.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.

Backup and Recovery:
• Develop, implement, and test backup and recovery plans.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through proper backup and recovery procedures.
• Perform regular database backups and recovery drills.

Database Design and Development:
• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Review and optimize database code, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

Monitoring and Maintenance:
• Monitor database systems for potential problems and performance bottlenecks.
• Apply patches and upgrades to database systems as necessary.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data migration, partitioning, and indexing.

Disaster Recovery Planning:
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for database systems.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of databases through proper disaster recovery planning and testing.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and health.

Qualifications:
• Mandatory Certification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Oracle database management and administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
• Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios and tools.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
