Overview: NCR VOYIX Corporation is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres databases, as well as assisting in the development and installation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Responsibilities:
• Maintain Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres databases in support of day-to-day maintenance, development, and installation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
• Use available tools and utilities to provide for necessary database maintenance activities, including data base reorganizations, backup and recovery, space management, performance and tuning, and change management
• Assist application developers and other clients with database usage and software development activities
• Ensure that all software or systems for which you are responsible are monitored and tuned to ensure acceptable levels of performance and resource utilization
• Stay current in new IT technologies to maintain high-level subject matter expertise
• Perform installation of complex, clustered, and high-availability software and hardware environments in a timely manner
• Follow and maintain all Corporate Change Control and Audit requirements
• Create and maintain schedules for software maintenance and upgrades
• Research and provide requirements for software compatibility within the organization's Enterprise Architecture
• Provide technical assistance to Operations, Applications, Business Clients, and the Help Desk to resolve production schedules or problems
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for assigned systems and software
• Use available resources to research, resolve, and recommend solutions for the most complex and critical systems
• Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience related directly to Oracle, SQL Server Database Administration
• Postgres experience required
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential and/or sensitive materials
• Comfort with and willingness to work in groups and individually on both large and small projects
• Ability to document, explain, and present any task related to decisions and processes
