Job Description:
Brillio is currently looking for Oracle DBA to join our rapidly growing team at our Bangalore office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Provide support on a wide range of database development and administration functions in a RAC configuration, including troubleshooting database issues, advising clients on new database features, and leading studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current database architecture
● Work closely with stakeholders (onshore and offshore) to troubleshoot live application issues in the timely fashion (CMD, Outages etc..)
● Recommend database configuration changes to increase database performance to the Database Professionals
● Bring in Industry best practices and apply in the database management
● Work collaboratively with Development, Application Support and Quality Assurance teams
● Designing architecture for high availability database and security-first approach, sizing/scalability, and performance
● Managing the day-to-day production deployment activities through CICD platform by enabling DB deployment through Flyway or Liquibase
● Drive enhancement solutions in day to day Database Administration activities
● Facilitate to upskill team through technical training sessions and enable talent transformation
● Continuously assess and understand the operational requirements to improve operational performance and business processes.
● Continuously assess and find automation solutions in the day to day activities
● Should be a strategic thought partner to Influence the senior leadership to adapt and drive efficiency improvements.
Skill Sets:
● Strong understanding of Databases like Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Mongodb and Cassandra
● Exposure on the Druid and Memsql database technologies
● Strong knowledge in DB admin function with exposure to cloud migrations (AWS, OCI, GCP) , DB modernization, and transformation, data center consolidation
● Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC
● Strong knowledge in Oracle Data Guard
● Strong knowledge in Oracle Golden Gate
● Strong knowledge in Oracle EXADATA environments
● Strong knowledge in Oracle Container Databases
● Strong knowledge in AWS Database Admin tasks.
● Strong knowledge in Linux shell scripting
● Strong knowledge in Database DevOps principles
● Strong knowledge in developing functional logics in PostgreSQL and Oracle
● Strong knowledge in Linux admin tasks
● Strong knowledge in expdp/impdp
● Expertise in RMAN backup and recovery
● Exposure to monitoring tools like New Relic, Splunk, OEM etc and automation of monitoring
● Exposure on CI/ CD using GIT, Jenkins, Flyway, Liquibase
● Exposure to Python scripting is an added advantage
● Production support functions for DB maintenance and outage management
● Database Tablespace /User / File system management
