Job Description:
. 5+ years in SQL Server database administration
. Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services.
. Manage and Upgrade/Install database-related clustered and stand-alone servers in both physical and virtual environments
. Experience in managing large Oracle based environments and database design
. Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting skills
. Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 12C and above and LINUX 7.x Oracle Red Hat AS or beyond
. Experience with HADR (High Availability / Disaster Recovery), Always On and Failover Clusters
. Configure database backups in accordance with customer requirements.
. Perform database recoveries as required.
. Perform daily checks of databases, backups, exports, jobs, and storage.
. Monitor SQL environments for health and performance
. Troubleshoot databases, schemas, and user accounts.
. Manage and optimize the performance of the databases for our critical systems;
. Manage backup, restore, and archive procedures of database servers
. Provide support for Enterprise Projects, Deployment and migrations
. Automate administrative tasks using scripting and utilities
. Ensure security and data integrity of all Oracle database environments and applications
. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
. Able to communicate effectively to multiple levels of an organization, including internal, customers, and vendors
. Ability to perform repeatable tasks at scale
. Strong documentation skills
. Working in structured change management processes, ability to follow internal rules and regulations
. Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
. Strong understanding in Cloud Technology and experience in deployments or migrations in Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred
