Understand and apply advanced database administration, management and performance tuning techniquesProvide advanced technical troubleshooting for applications and database systemConfigure and tune oracle and Linux OS parameters to ensure optimum performance and resource utilizationYou may be required to work in morning or afternoon shift and one weekend dailyUnderstand server clustering techniques and its impact on database configuration and performanceManage standby databases, snapshots and other advanced database featuresUse databases replication tools like Goldengate etc.Manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments and be able to perform troubleshooting with RAC nodesParticipate in design and review of application codesDevelop shell scripts for monitoringDevelop procedures and processes for data migration and application developmentParticipate in meetings and conference calls related to project and troubleshooting activitiesPerform exports, rman backups and data extracts as requiredDevelop strong working knowledge of key applications and their interaction with the databas
