Strong ability to work positively with team members, vendors, and external/internal customers.
Strong architectural knowledge Of the Oracle.
Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.
Backup and Restore Activities with different approaches as per requirement. DR related Activities.
Strong knowledge about Data Pump and RMAN.
Good understanding of the Windows/Linux/UNIX environments.
Database Performance monitoring/tuning, query tuning, migration, patching, and upgrade Activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical and minor issues detected via monitoring or during system analysis.
Respond within defined SLA (Service Level Agreements) requirements in relation to system issues.
Conduct security risk assessments that include monitoring, investigation and reporting of security and access violations.
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when needed.
Practice Capacity Management with regards to evaluating systems usage and performance with a goal of being proactive in identifying system problems.
Deploy multiple patches to keep oracle environments up to date with the latest releases.
Ensures server data integrity by evaluating and managing the proper software/hardware solutions.
Install, configure, and fine-tune production oracle systems and server settings to achieve best performance levels.
OLTP, OLAP, Staging, and Datawarehouse configurations.
in RMAN, Data Pump import/export utility.
Deep understanding of relational database design.
Strong fundamentals in all aspects of DBA responsibilities.
Knowledge on any third-party backup tools e.g., Commvault, Cohesity &
Experienced in RAC/Grid and ASM.
Experience in Microsoft SQL server/MySQL database Administration is a big plus.
Experience in Azure/AWS is a plus.
Good knowledge of ITIL
3+ years of relevant work experience within the IT infrastructure area with a background of IT Backend operations.
Preferred Education:
A university degree in Computer Science or similar
Good knowledge in Office 365
Experience in Oracle would be an advantage
