As a DB Admin Technical Spec you will provide physical database support for Oracle databases, ensuring the integrity and availability of the database. You are responsible for monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning at both the system and application levels.
As part of the Oracle Database Administration team, you will work with a team who is responsible for critical Tier-1 and Tier 2 systems that utilize high availability solutions, including clustering, database monitoring, Always On, log shipping, and database replication features. You will help to ensure that all solutions of application and business issues are secure, compliant, and adhere to the minimum security baselines set forth by CVS Health.
You will utilize your knowledge and experience with security, backup, recovery, and archiving to made recommendations regarding process improvements for logical and physical data structures. You will forecast long-range requirements for database administration, while documenting the database environment and support processes.

Minimum Qualification:
• 15 years of full-time education.
Good To Have:
-You will participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
-Additional responsibilities of the Database Administrator – Oracle
Server include:
-Installing and configuring database software for production, test, and development environments.
-Designing, developing, implementing, and providing operation support of database security.
-Writing stored procedures, triggers, and scripts to manage, maintain, and provide reporting on vital database activities.
-Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies.
-Preparing disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities to ensure database recovery at the DR site is within set Recovery
Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
-3+ years’ experience in the Information Technology (IT) field.
-3+ years’ experience working as a Oracle Database Administrator, including experience at the design, operational, and system levels.
- Experience with Oracle Products including:
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Oracle 1+ C
• Oracle Golden Gate
-Experience with database administration including:
-Programming with PL SQL
-Performance tuning
-Design and implementation of Oracle Disaster Recovery to meet defined business objectives
-Implementation and support of high availability features including Clustering, Always On, Database
Mirroring, and Replication
-Experience tuning complex database systems for production systems at the application, database, and system levels.
