Role and Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuration of Oracle server.

• Creation of database and maintaining schema generation scripts

• Creating a primary database storage structures

• Creating the primary objects (tables, Views, indexes)

• Modify the database structure as necessary

• Creating and managing development database users, giving the privileges and assigning roles for data access

• Monitoring the performance of the database

• Export and Import of databases and their objects, as required.

• Managing the database backup policies for the clients

• Troubleshooting connectivity problems between Oracle Client and Server by configuring listener and Tnsnames file.

• Management of data files, control files, redo logs and other objects

• Implementing securities using role and privileges

• Defining and Implementing database backup and recovery .

Taking Online Backup of the database.

Desired Skill Required:

· Experience in Oracle 1+c and Exadata is a must. Must be updated about new roll outs on Oracle versions and upgrade methodologies.

· Hands on knowledge of installation, configuration & managing database server and applying security patches & other Patches for upgrading versions of oracle database on different platforms.

· Upgrading the container databases over multiple versions retaining customer data.

· Hands on experience of working with Unix/Linux operating system.

· Own all performance tuning activities including PL/SQL, SQL query tuning.

· Hands-on knowledge of various partitioning techniques and implementation strategies.

· Devise and implement ILM scripts and data archival strategies such as compression, partitioning and tablespace movements.

· Analyse AWR reports, providing suggestions for performance improvement of SQL queries.

· Write PL SQL procedures to scale up the data in order to do performance testing with a larger data set.

· Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in the following areas RAC, ASM, Performance tuning (AWR, SQL Monitor, OEM), Data Guard (Physical and Logical) including active data guard and DG broker, RMAN - Experience in handling complex installation/patching, database recovery scenarios is desired

· Manage database objects like tablespace, user, table, Index, roles, privileges, profiles, DB Links, materialized views, partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views and indexes and other database objects etc

· Create physical/logical standby database and performing switch-over and fail-over

· Nice to have: OCI & AWS experience

· Nice to have: PostgreSQL, MongoDB and other databases, Docker, Personal Skills.

· Must have excellent verbal and written communication as this role is expected to interact with US/UK based clients on regular basis.

· Good analytical/interpretative and problem-solving skills.

· Willingness to take up complex tasks on Adhoc basis across projects.

· Should have detail-oriented approach towards performance tuning when designing solution for high volume data.

· Should be able to pick any new technology, research it and implement it in short time frame.

· Should have Flexible, Professional Approach.
