Roles & Responsibilities:

• Hands on experience on Oracle DBA

• Excellent understanding of Database concepts including Procedures, Triggers, Packages, Database Constraints, Indexes using Oracle 11g

• Configure and build Golden Gate Extracts/replicate for multiple databases.

• External certificate: Oracle Developer or golden gate

• Configure error handling for restart logging, production support and status reporting in Golden Gate.

• Identify and produce documentation of best practices.

• Trouble shooting and performance tuning Golden Gate replications.

• Implementing necessary monitoring scripts for Golden Gate in UNIX/PERL scripting

• Operational support experience

• Create database objects in operational data store and maintaining them.

• Working with project management team to plan release activities.

• Deep understanding Oracle Golden Gate internal mechanism, OGG new features such as Integrated capture, native DDL capture, coordinate apply mode, multi-threaded replicate

• Provide Golden Gate solutions

• Working with Oracle on SRs for critical issues.

• Should be able to help in finding current issues and provide solutions to improve performance

• Build deployment packages and promote them to higher environments (UAT, Production and Cob) following SDLC

• Working knowledge of Linux Redhat, File System, Cluster Management and Oracle ASMC and ACFS

• Manage and maintain databases across multiple environments.

• Perform Database analysis and provide recommendations.

• Work on the Database architecture, design, and performance optimization.

• Develop automation scripts to improve platform efficiency.

• Identify and recommend Database design and Data models.

• Provide oversight on low-level design and technically guide the Development team.

• Partner with Development organization/oversee DB landscape for portfolio.

• Plan and manage existing/new DB Development, manage and customize server configuration, as per application needs.

• Troubleshoot/resolve complex production data issues.

• Index Strategy (i.e. Fragmentation)

• Maintain Statistics (Update Statistics)

• Query Tuning (i.e. Execution Plans, Indexes)

• Performance Tuning (Server Config, WAIT Stats)

• Schema Design (i.e. Partitioning)

• DB Architecture (Table Design)

• HA Solutions

• DR/COB Solutions

• Application Entitlements, Security Review

• Archiving/Historical Data
