Sutherland Global Services is looking for ORACLE Specialist to build and implement World class product for Travel Vertical industry. Your primary duties will revolve around building software - designing databases, writing SQL queries & stored procedures, creating / modifying ETL packages and ensuring their stability, reliability and performance.In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Grasp the business domain and the database structure of the respective module
• Decode the business requirements into technical requirements
• Design, write, unit test and debug PL\SQL queries
• Create ETL packages using SQL Loader.
• Complete database development to ensure product releases are achieved on time
• Follow coding best practices, write clean modular queries & maintain optimal quality
• Regression testing and fix any bugs identified during the testing cycle
• Being part of the Scrum Team, adhere/follow the Scrum practices as guided by the Scrum Master
• Collaborate with SME, Product Managers and other members of the project team in requirements specification and detailed engineering analysis.
• Guide the team & provide solutions during technical challenges.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must:
• Graduation / Post Graduation in Computer Science / Related Engineering
• Min. 3 yrs to max of 8 yrs experience in ORACLE
• Min. 1 yrs of experience in SQL Loader
• Proven skills in SQL query writing & query optimization, Debugging & tracing skills.
• Proven skills in ETL packages (SQL Loader).
• Performance optimization of long running packages / queries.
• Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies
• Possess English speaking/reading/writing skills
• Prior experience on any Enterprise product development with geographically dispersed teams.
