POSITION:
Purpose, mastery and autonomy We provide all three at ISS where we are building state of the art voting and analytical platforms, to help shareholder make key corporate decisions around the world. We are currently seeking an Oracle programmer to join our Development team and help design, develop and release optimal solutions to meet business needs for new services and enhancements.
Here's what you'll be doing:
• Play an active role in a global agile team working on complex applications with large databases and complex batch processing of large number of transactions.
• Work with web application team members to design and develop optimal database solutions that allow the users to process large number of transactions in seconds.
• Responsible for all phases of software development process from requirements analysis, estimation, design, development, testing, defect management and help operations/IT teams.
• Study current systems and help redesign and refactor them to improve performance, stability, and scale.
Here's what you need:
• Bachelor/master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on Oracle development experience covering full SDLC.
• Proficient in PL/SQL programming.
• Good understanding of Oracle internals.
• Good understanding of performance management and transactional processing.
• Proficient in troubleshooting of Oracle performance issues.
• Experience designing, developing, and enhancing Oracle database for WEB applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with MS SQL Server
• Experience with schema design and partitioning.
• Understanding of query plan and using Oracle Enterprise Manager to analyze/improve it.
• Experience with processing of large data sets.
• Experience with full SDLC of a large batch processing system
