Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Order Picker to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment within a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Responsibilities
Select and prepare products for shipment using order picking systems and manual methods
Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods with heavy lifting techniques
Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying orders and documentation
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met
Support warehouse operations including construction-related tasks when necessary
Ensure the workspace is organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations
Qualifications
Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related fields such as construction or heavy equipment operation
Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse machinery such as forklifts, crane, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout shifts
Strong attention to detail in order picking and inventory management
Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and safety protocols
Warehouse experience involving load & unload operations is highly desirable
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
