Ormeggio at The Spit is seeking an experienced casual Fine Dining Waiter to join our award-winning team in Mosman. A full-time role may be available for the right candidate.
Recognised with Two Chef Hats in the SMH Good Food Guide and proudly listed on The World’s 50 Best Discovery, Ormeggio is a renowned waterfront Italian fine dining restaurant and part of the Maestro Hospitality Group. We are celebrated for our elevated Italian cuisine, premium wine list, and genuine, attentive service.
Our wine program has also been consistently awarded ‘Three Glasses’ in the Gourmet Traveller Wine List of the Year Awards since 2013.
Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcoming and engaging with guests.
Explaining the restaurant concept and introducing dishes throughout service.
Providing professional food and wine pairing recommendations.
Managing dietary requirements with clear FOH–BOH communication.
Confidently operating MobiPOS and handling guest payments.
Managing reservations and guest details using SevenRooms.
Setting up sections for service, resetting tables efficiently, and ensuring smooth multi-seating operations.
Presenting bills with professionalism and offering a warm farewell.
What We’re Looking For - Requirements;
1 to 3 years of experience in a fine dining or hatted restaurant and/or
Diploma hospitality studies
Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
NSW RSA and full Australian working rights.
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wine, and food pairings.
Proficiency with POS systems and SevenRooms.
Immediate availability preferred.
Excellent personal presentation
Italian language skills – a bonus!
