Carmichael College OSHC is a faith-based Christian, not-for-profit service offering Before and After School Care, and Vacation Care. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Leader / Assistant Coordinator to join our OSHC leadership team. This shared leadership role will work as the Educational Leader and as the Assistant Coordinator, in collaboration with another Assistant Coordinator, the Service Coordinator and the wider leadership team.
About the Role
Educational Leader
Lead and support educators in planning, programming and delivering a high-quality educational program.
Develop engaging provocations within a play-based learning environment.
Ensure programs are inclusive and aligned with My Time Our Place, National Quality Standards and legislation.
Mentor educators and contribute to a positive, professional team culture.
Assistant Coordinator
Support the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day operation of the OSHC service.
Assist with staff mentoring, professional development and compliance.
Build strong relationships with children, families and staff.
Act as Service Coordinator / Nominated Supervisor when required.
Uphold and model the Christian values of the service.
About You
Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in OSHC.
Strong knowledge of My Time Our Place and the National Quality Standards.
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
Passionate about quality education and care for children aged 5–12.
Commitment to child safety and understanding of Child Protection legislation.
Respect for and alignment with a Christian, faith-based environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma (or higher) in School Age Education and Care, Early Childhood Education and Care, Children’s Services, or another ACECQA-approved qualification.
Current QLD Blue Card.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification.
