Summary
We are looking for an Operational Technology content developer to support the Research Global Detections team. Working across Research and Product teams, you will apply your understanding of OT hardware and software/firmware identification to develop detections for Tenable’s products.
This role is a blend of investigation, analysis, and action to augment our OT vulnerability content for hardware and software/firmware. The contractor will work with Research Engineers and Tenable.ot Product points of contact to develop accurate detections. We are looking for a self-starter and team player with a passion and curiosity to grow our Tenable.ot coverage in high demand product areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Initial identification / fingerprinting of product hardware and software as well as vulnerability detection development based on common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE) as reported in the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and/or directly in vendor advisories.
• Develop Initial detection plugins of OT hardware and software / firmware where Tenable has access to the assets and has provided the contractor access.
• Develop vulnerability detection plugins for OT hardware and software / firmware that has initial detections in place for a prioritized vendor list as provided by Tenable Research. Initial detections may be existing or newly developed.
• Report on Vulnerability Discrepancies in vendor advisories and/or NVD CVEs
Skills / Qualifications
• BA/BS in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Vulnerability Management, Security Engineering, Operational Technology (OT) Internet of Things (IoT) development
• Strong analytical skills and experience with NVD and OT Vendor advisories
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage across highly distributed teams.
• Ability to get in the weeds with technical implementation requirements for vendor integrations and enhancements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
