Tomar Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated OT Technician to join our team in the Operating Room department. As an OT Technician, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons and other medical professionals in the operating room, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgery by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, and anticipating their needs
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper infection control protocols
- Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
- Certified OT Technician with a valid license
- BLS Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
