Responsibilities
Earth stewardship
Monday- Friday, Day shift, Occasional weekends when needed
You will be responsible for the operation and output of assigned production lines which include but are not limited to:
Driving Single Cab/Double Axle truck and trailer to various Milton warehouse locations
Normal travel distance 400-500 miles roundtrip
Single roundtrips per shift, however this could vary depending on requirements
Acts as a back-up on a rotational basis for Yard Truck Driver shuttling product to/from production warehouses or Forklift Driver in warehouse to load/unload trailers
Deliver or pick-up Scrap Products or pallets from various Milton Operations facilities
Ensure the equipment is safe and in proper working conditions
Complete a pre and post trip inspection, for trucks and trailers driven daily
Communicate repairs needed to equipment to the Manager/Director, so equipment is compliant with all company purchasing, safety and food safety requirements, and applicable laws
Review, manage and file all equipment safety, repair, and log paperwork in accordance with company policies
Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards and Standard Operating Procedures
Ability to load/unload finished goods or raw material on trucks, warehouses and/or pallets
Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers
Maintain production volume and efficiency
Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand most of their 12-hour shift on a cement production floor
