Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities
Schedule: Discharge Pharmacy is open 7 days per week, Monday-Friday 715-815, and on the weekends from roughly 8 to 5pm
You would be rotating thru a variety of shifts with one to possibly two closing shifts per week and one weekend every four to six weeks
Discharge team members work 1 holiday per year as well, as that is picked by seniority
Coordinates the daily operations of the pharmacy technician staff at the assigned location
Acts as a daily resource for the technicians and provides guidance regarding technical and operational information
In addition, provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy
May procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections
Other duties as assigned

A Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
