Job Description
• Compare existing BPO outsourcing contracts between LM and BPO vendors
• Be an anchor in renewals process and identify opportunities to bring in consistency amongst BPO vendor contracts (contract structure, provisions, language, pricing mechanisms etc.)
• Identify inconsistencies and gaps between LM BPO outsourcing contracts with BPO vendors
• Assess how they compare with Industry best practices in BPO outsourcing
• Engage with Business Leadership, contract managers and other stakeholders to provide insights on supplier, BPO market intelligence and best practices
• Develop cross-vendor standards i.e., assess multiple BPO vendor contracts across various parameters and develop comparisons. This would require the candidate to:
• benchmark data from various internal and external data sources
• review contract documents (Statement of Work, Purchase Orders etc.) to extract data for benchmarking (pricing, headcount, productivity, efficiency, other T&Cs etc.)
• understand and analyze the performance data (nonfinancial) for benchmarking of BPO Services
• maintain and improve inhouse benchmarking database and dashboards for spends, rates, FTEs, SLAs etc. for BPO Suppliers
Desired Skills:
• Thorough understanding of pricing and solution constructs of BPO outsourcing services
• Thorough understanding of components of BPO outsourcing contract (pricing, SLAs/KPIs, various contract clauses and constructs on service performance and quality measurement etc.)
• Management of BPO outsourcing contracts between Client and BPO vendor
• Involvement in contracting activities (solutioning, pricing, negotiation etc.) for BPO outsourcing contracts between Client and BPO vendor
• Understanding of Insurance Industry value chain (P&C insurance preferred)
• Expert data analysis and visualization skills on MS Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
Desired Experience:
• Overall experience of 10+ yrs. total exp. in BPO
• Graduate/Post-graduate from a premiere institute
• 6 to 10 years of experience in one of the following (candidate should have relevant experience of servicing Insurance clients):
• Global BPO sourcing advisory/outsourcing research and benchmarking
• Global BPO sourcing focused teams (Sourcing Advisory, Shared Services Outsourcing etc.) within management consulting firms (e.g. ISG, Zinnov, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte etc.)
• Managing BPO Outsourcing contracts in Offshore entities of Insurance MNCs (client organizations preferably captive setups of Insurance companies)
• Must ideally be a part of one of the following teams in Tier 1 BPO service provider organizations:
• Managing BPO outsourcing services contract between the BPO service provider and Insurance Client (preferably P&C)
• BPO Outsourcing Solution Pricing and Commercials/ Solution design / Price to win / Bid management teams
