Job Description
We a Sheet Metal Shop located in Richmond is looking to hire Packagers for our Afternoon shift. The hours are from 4:00pm to 2:30 am, Monday to Thursday, and occasional overtime. NO Transit available after 12am. MUST DRIVE. A shift premium will be paid on top of the hourly wage.
We are looking for someone :
With no previous experience - just a positive attitude and a willingness to work!
Excellent Attendance Record
Is motivated to learn new skills, and take on new challenges
Is timely and reliable
Can lift 30 - 40 pounds
Enjoys working in a fast paced environment and can work without supervision
A day in the life of a production packager:
Order picking
Wrapping and moving skids
Review all pieces scanning for any potential quality defects before packaging
Counting all orders to assure piece counts are correct before packaging
Prepare the boxes for the packaging of product
Check and weigh materials and products
Fill and place labels according to procedure
Place the boxes on the pallets according to procedure, take out pallets if necessary and place them according to the recommendations of the team leader
Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
Ability to follow directions
Maintains a clean working environment
