Job Title: Assistant Manager – Packaging Material Development (Food Division)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Manager to lead the development of new packaging materials for food products. The candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging solutions that ensure product safety, extend shelf life, enhance consumer appeal, and comply with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and innovate new packaging materials for food items, focusing on quality, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Coordinate with product development, R&D, procurement, and production teams to identify packaging requirements.

• Conduct trials, testing, and validation of new packaging materials.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, FSSAI, and packaging regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with vendors/suppliers for sourcing and evaluating packaging solutions.

• Analyze packaging performance (shelf life, durability, safety) and suggest improvements.

• Monitor packaging costs and drive optimization initiatives.

• Stay updated on market trends, sustainable packaging solutions, and new technologies.

• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and approvals for new packaging developments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Packaging Technology, Food Technology, or related field.

• 4–7 years of experience in food packaging material development.

• Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, laminates, glass, paperboard, etc.) and technologies.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards for food packaging (FSSAI, FDA, ISO, etc.).

• Good project management and vendor management skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
