About the Role

Starship Children’s Health (Auckland), the leading provider of child health care in New Zealand and the South Pacific, has an exciting opportunity for four fixed-term, full-time positions as Fellows in Paediatric Anaesthesia and Paediatric Intensive Care for up to 12 months commencing in January 2026. The positions are six months in paediatric anaesthesia and six months in paediatric intensive care.

In this role, you will receive exposure to a wide range of paediatric anaesthesia in all major subspecialty areas. We anaesthetise children all over New Zealand, and there will be exposure to airway surgery, cardiac anaesthesia, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and paediatric general surgery. To be competitive, you should be either nearing the end of your training or have recently completed a formal anaesthesia training programme but are seeking additional structured training in paediatric anaesthesia and intensive care.
