Job Description
Follow instructions and work under the supervision of painters, site supervisors, and other senior staff.
Assist painters and other tradespeople with daily painting and preparation tasks as required.
Prepare and organize materials, ensuring that paint, brushes, rollers, fittings, adhesives, and nails are of the correct type and size for each job.
Transport and deliver construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and on time to designated job sites.
Monitor and maintain inventory of painting materials, tools, and supplies, and promptly report shortages or damage to supervisors.
Keep the work area clean and hazard-free by removing debris, waste materials, and potential safety risks from the site.
Perform basic surface preparation such as sanding, masking, or cleaning to support efficient painting operations.
Comply with all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a construction site.
Six months on-site relevant experience.
Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.
Reliable transport to meet the needs of varying work locations across Auckland.
Police vetting and drug tests are required.
Availability to start work in the mornings or on weekends, depending on work arrangements.
