Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and coatings to various surfaces in construction and renovation projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. Applicants should possess good communication skills and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Follow technical specifications and safety guidelines during all painting activities
Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades and consistency
Protect surrounding areas by covering floors, furniture, and fixtures before painting
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and touch up as necessary
Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project
Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand specific requirements and deadlines
Skills
Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is preferred
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks
Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks and work in various environmental conditions
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting activities
