Looking for helper in our millwork shop to assist in the manufacturing of cabinets and to do general shop work that is required. Looking for someone with some skills in manufacturing that is looking to learn more and grow into a role in cabinet maker. Helping outside on installations at time to time would be a requirement. Duties include cleaning and organizing, helping prep for paint, cutting and assisting in fabrication, and just general help within the shop or construction job site as required. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in becoming a cabinetmaker.

Overview
Position: General Helper
Work Style: Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
Qualifications:
Must have class 5 driving license and be able drive 3 tons truck.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Taks:
Drive 3 tons truck to the construction site
Load, unload and transport construction materials
Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually
Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products
Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers
Perform other labouring and elemental activities
Clean machines and immediate work areas
Safety & Professionalism:
Follow all WorkSafeBC rules and site safety regulations
Proper use of PPE (hard hat, safety boots, vest, etc.)
Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
Ability to follow site-specific safety policies
Punctual, reliable, and maintains professional conduct on job sites
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Ability to work full-time hours with potential for overtime/weekends as needed
