We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality. Your expertise in various painting techniques and materials will contribute to the successful completion of renovation and restoration projects.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and quantities of materials needed.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
Understand color theory to assist in selecting appropriate colors for projects.
Perform caulking to seal gaps and ensure a smooth finish on painted surfaces.
Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to achieve project goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project.
Experience
Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with various painting techniques and materials is essential.
Experience using power tools and hand tools in a construction or renovation setting is advantageous.
Knowledge of basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint requirements is necessary.
A background in carpentry or related fields can be beneficial but is not required.
