Painter – Springvale VIC
Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a well-regarded business who specialises in Mechanical Painting and Dip Spin coatings. We are helping our client to recruit an experienced and qualified Painter to join their team based in Springvale, VIC. The role is full time and ongoing.
Salary: Agreat salary package, negotiable, in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum, will be offered to the successful applicant.
Duties will include:
Prepare the work area, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment free of dust or dirt.
Prepare the units to be spray painted by removing any dirt, rust and old paint and properly mask areas which are not being painted with tape.
Apply rust proof undercoats and primers using a spray gun.
Mix and match paints to meet the colour requirements and specifications of the job, ensuring precise colour matching is achieved.
Apply paint in a consistent, steady manner to ensure optimal paint flow and thickness and a high-quality finish.
Sand the surface between coats and touch up any defective areas during the application stage.
Be process-oriented and place great emphasis on attention to detail, inspecting all finished projects to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
Thoroughly clean equipment, paint mixing area and work area after use.
Safe use of spray paint tools and equipment, such as spray guns, paint shakers and pressure pots.
Compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
To be successfully considered we expect to see:
Possess relevant trade Certificate Level IV or agreed substitute.
Minimum 1 to 3 years, preferably more, experience since you earned your trade qualifications.
Well experienced in all aspects of the painting trade.
Solid understanding of workplace health and safety rules and the ability to follow safe working principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working with pride!
Eager to secure a full-time salaried position (so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors).
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights.
