Job duties
Employer must:
Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
Make on-site preparation such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper and sanding machine, removing old paint etc.
Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
Apply varnish and other finishes
Match paint samples for touch up and other small projects
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Any other duties the employer reasonable may require employee to perform
Pay rate: minimum $30.00/hour - maximum $33.00/hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum of 30 hours per week - maximum of 60 hours per week
Requirements for the job
At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Full time availability
No criminal record
Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
