The Jimmy S Bilimoria Foundation (PALCARE) invites applications from eligible candidates to the post of Palliative Care Nurse.
Job Title: Palliative Care Nurse
No. of Requirements: 4
Place of Job: Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Accommodation is not provided and applicants must make their own arrangements.
Nature of Job:
You will be a member of a medical palliative care team comprising one doctor, two nurses and one psycho-social counsellor. You will visit patients at their homes. There, you will provide compassionate and expert nursing care, under the guidance of the team doctor, so as to relieve their pain and manage their symptoms, ensuring that they have quality of life and die in dignity. You will be assigned a zone close to your home to minimize travel time to patients. This is a +:30 am to 5:30 p.m. job – leaving your evenings free.
Qualifications:
A GNM (General Nurse Midwifery) diploma or BSc degree in Nursing, from a recognised institution in India with at least 2 years’ experience preferably in a hospital. We are however willing to consider freshers who demonstrate initiative and are committed to palliative care /pain management.
Reporting to: Senior Nurse, PALCARE
Remuneration: Your salary will be generous and commensurate with your years of experience.
Language: English, Marathi, Hindi
Personal characteristics:
• High-quality nursing skills
• Compassion and personalised care to patients and their families
• Effective communication skills, preferably in English/ Hindi / Marathi.
• Dedication to the job and hard working
• Prepared to undergo specialised training and regular refresher courses thereon.
• Should be willing to make a commitment to the organization for a minimum of 2 years.
