Panel beater Wanted

Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established company and become a part of a great team. We have a terrific chance for competent applicants to join a friendly and supportive team due to continuing growth and increased demand.

We are searching for 1 Panel Beater to fill our permanent and full-time position (guaranteed minimum 30 hours/per week to maximum 60 hours/per week, roaster between Monday to Sunday). The location of work will be within the Auckland.


Job duties for Panel Beater:


Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of a motor vehicle to establish the extent of repairs, restoration, estimate time and cost for the repair
Disassembling damaged vehicle parts, panels and accessories
Restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches, and spray painting panels
Replacing any parts that cannot be repaired
Welding new or repaired panels into place
Straightening and aligning car frames and unibodies using mechanical equipment
Stripping and refitting trim and panel interior
Repairing depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surface
Performing final finishing and polishing by using finishing equipment in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork
Keeping records of all work carried out.
Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards

To be successful you will need to:


Have at least two year’s relevant experience, or
Have a relevant NZ Level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
have "can-do" attitude
