Job Description: Qualified Panel Beater
Main Responsibilities:
Remove damaged panels and parts, along with removing upholstery and accessories to gain access.
Hammer out dents in panels and use mechanical and hydraulic equipment to straighten damaged vehicles and parts.
Replace severely damaged sections with either new or second-hand panels.
Fill depressions with plastic filler, and meticulously file, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment.
Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and reattach body hardware, such as door locks and trims.
Assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage, and other specialty vehicles.
Collaborate with the spray-painting team to ensure a seamless finish.
Skills & Abilities:
Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of fiveyears' experience as a qualified Panel Beater.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Salary Range:
$72,000-$82,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
