At Bellarine Smash Repairs, Moolap, we pride ourselves on providing quality small to medium repairs for our customers.
Our team of 23 works with the latest technology and tooling in a spacious workshop with separate work areas for our Panel and Paint divisions. We have a steady stream of work and enjoy monthly team BBQs!
We’re expanding! As part of our continued growth, we’re now looking for Spray Painters, Assemblers, and a Qualified Panel Beater to join our supportive, long-term team.

Assemblers

Role Responsibilities
Panel Beater
Check received parts are correct and free of defects
Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards, and in accordance with the Estimate and Job Sheet
Reassemble vehicle
Handle all vehicles, tools, and equipment with due care and attention
Adhere to OH&S policy, including PPE requirements
Spray Painter
Prepare and mask vehicles for paintwork
Mix paints to match existing colours and manufacturer standards
Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray gun and correct techniques
Ensure high-quality finishes and colour matching
Inspect finished surfaces for flaws and perform touch-ups as needed
Maintain spray equipment and ensure a clean, safe painting environment
Follow all safety procedures and use PPE as required
Assembler
Fit and align vehicle parts and panels following repairs or paint
Install lights, trims, bumpers, badges, and interior components as required
Ensure all parts are securely fastened and aligned to manufacturer specifications
Conduct quality checks to ensure the vehicle is ready for delivery
Assist with cleaning and preparing vehicles for customer handover
Work collaboratively with panel beaters and painters to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain a safe, tidy work environment and adhere to OH&S procedures

Experienced and Qualified (Essential)
Strong commitment to working safely
High attention to detail
Spray Painter & Assembler:
Relevant trade experience (preferred)
Strong eye for detail and pride in your work
Ability to follow repair plans and work efficiently as part of a team
