The Role:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our agile Legal team who champion a culture of ethical behavior, trust and doing the right thing at Pepperstone. As a Paralegal at Pepperstone, you will play a crucial role in assisting our legal department in various tasks related to regulatory compliance and legal documentation. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging matters, and to make a significant contribution to our growing success.

You will report to our Head of Legal, Australia and work in a vibrant and fast-paced fintech environment. Surrounded by a team of highly skilled and experienced team you will have the opportunity to collaborate across international markets.

We work hybrid between home and our swish office in Collins Square, 727 Collins Street, Melbourne. As we're a global business, we do need to be flexible at times to cross over with our team and some stakeholders outside Australia.

As our new Paralegal, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Supporting the Legal team with wide range of tasks including general enquiries, vendor KYC, and litigation, regulatory, and IP filings
Assisting with reviewing and executing commercial contracts, principally relating to marketing, procurement, NDAs, powers of attorneys
Working on ad-hoc legal projects and requirements as directed by the Legal team members
Working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including Legal, Compliance & Risk, marketing, sales, finance, procurement, operations, and client support
Providing general administrative support to the legal team, including maintaining contract management systems
Undertaking legal research as needed


About You:

Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field with experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in legal research and using online legal databases
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Legal certifications or licenses are a plus
