The Melbourne Banking & Finance team are seeking a paralegal to assist with settlements, pre-sale reviews and document preparation.
We are seeking a candidate who may have basic property-related experience in a law firm or conveyancing company, or a candidate that has secretarial experience, seeking a career as a paralegal in a busy, fast-paced environment. This position would be suitable for someone who has just finished or is finishing a TAFE diploma in Legal or Business Administration.

Key responsibilities
Obtaining Title, ASIC & PPSR searches;
Preparing documentation for settlements;
Preparation and review of PPSR releases;
Drafting loan documents and other legal documents;
Opening and maintaining PEXA work spaces;
Assisting with Trust settlements;
Assisting with pre-sale reviews;
Attendance with paper settlements (external) if and when required;
Preparation of internal and external correspondence;
Assisting with preparation of fee estimates;
Maintaining client securities;
File management including invoicing and filing;
Undertake general administrative tasks.
Knowledge, skills and experience
At least 12 months property related or legal administration experience in a law firm or conveyancing company
Self motivated and deadline driven with problem solving, communication and organisational skills;
High attention to detail and accuracy;
Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Outlook, Word and Excel (formulas and organisation).
A proactive, positive and energetic attitude.
