Our client’s reputable law firm in downtown Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team. They are committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and we are looking for a motivated individual who shares our values and is eager to contribute to the success of our firm.

Responsibilities:

· Case Management: Assist Lawyers in managing family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division matters.

· Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and financial disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures.

· Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case progress, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

· Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support case strategies, find relevant laws and precedents, and contribute to the development of legal arguments.

· Court Filings: File legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies, adhering to deadlines and procedural requirements.

· Trial Preparation: Prepare trial exhibits, organize trial binders, and provide support during trial proceedings.

Skills:

· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Attention to detail for accurate document preparation and proofreading.

· Proficient in data entry and using document management systems.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

· Strong clerical skills, including phone etiquette and file management.
