Job description

Business Architect - £743 per day (inside IR35) - Initial contract until 31/03/2026 - Manchester (3 days in office)

We are looking for a Financial Services Business Architect with capabilities to work with various business workstreams and senior business stakeholders within the bank. Experience in Current account journeys including lending, account switching and is experienced with managing responsibilities for designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions for complex core banking & current account business problems. Also, to ensure it aligns with the overall business and IT strategies, by translating business requirements into actionable technical designs and maintaining the current and target state architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Leading design and technical architecture for loans, banking accounts - current and savings along with operational platforms with focus on scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance Develop solutions and designs that align with business goals and enterprise architecture strategies. Collaborating with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to align solutions with business requirements and risk controls for current accounts Translate business requirements into comprehensive architectural designs, functioning as a blueprint for successful solution implementation. Advise on, and make decisions about, suitable technologies for projects within the domain, often challenging vendor solutions to ensure alignment with organisational strategy. Design and facilitate end-to-end solutions, define integration patterns, and ensure processes within the domain are efficient and aligned with business needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Deep knowledge of core banking systems, with platforms like Temenos Transact being a plus. Proficiency with data technologies, including real-time data streams and batch processing. Understanding of banking cost drivers and ability to optimise solutions for cost-effectiveness.

The Company:

The Role:

The Paraplanner will support a team of Wealth Managers / Wealth Planners in the administrative management of client portfolios as well as assisting in the growth of the business whilst providing a high level of client service and support.

The Paraplanner will prepare and implement recommendations and prepare balance sheets for the client portfolios.

The Paraplanner will create and maintain new and existing client files, CGT calculations plus various client reporting requirements.

The Paraplanner will monitor client accounts entrusting that they are not violating guidelines and update and change accordingly.

The Paraplanner will have face to face exposure with clients and will prepare the client meeting summary plan documents and recommendations, obtaining information to create cash flow plans and follow up on return documentation.

The Paraplanner will gather relevant review documents and review reports required for the meetings.

The Paraplanner will run daily/weekly/monthly performance reports on interval systems, ensuring that any irregularities are inspected and resolved.

The Paraplanner will work with platform and service providers as required.

The Candidate

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Paraplanner or Wealth Planning Support role within Wealth Management.

FINANCIAL PLANNING DIPLOMA - qualified

A good hard-working attitude with an ability to learn quickly - Essential

Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite.

CRM experience - advantageous.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision-making abilities and attention to detail

Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
