The opportunity
As a Parks Maintenance Team Member, you’ll play a hands on role in keeping our parks, gardens and open spaces looking their best for the community. Working outdoors as part of a supportive team, you’ll take on a variety of horticultural and maintenance tasks, including mowing, garden care and maintaining park assets. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, taking pride in quality workmanship, and making a create welcoming spaces for people to enjoy every day in their local area.
What you’ll be doing
Carrying out horticultural and parks maintenance to a high standard
Maintaining park assets including playgrounds, furniture and paths
Operating and maintaining plant, machinery and equipment safely
Completing safety checks, JSAs and following Council procedures
Supporting the team and providing friendly, customer focused service
What you'll need to succeed
Qualification or experience in horticulture or parks maintenance
Experience using and maintaining plant, machinery and equipment
Ability to safely perform physical, outdoor manual work
Knowledge of workplace safety, JSAs and safe work practices
Strong teamwork skills with a customer focused approach

Pre-Employment Requirements
Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check and a Pre-Employment Medical Check.
